Saguaro National Park | Arizona

I don’t know about you, but these saguaros look like a group of friends hanging out in the sun. We were supposed to head straight to the snow in Colorado, but Gregory Alan Isakov was playing an intimate acoustic show in Tucson the night before, so we flew into Phoenix instead. Before the show we hiked Saguaro National Park, where the cacti reach in every direction in impossible shapes. I spent the afternoon trying to isolate them, one or a few at a time. With unlimited film, I could shoot a hundred rolls in these gardens of ancient giants.
