After an hour in the van waiting out the rain with a couple of beers and some music, I saw Bridalveil Fall and El Capitan appear through big rolling clouds, and I jumped out, shoes barely tied. I’ve stood at Tunnel View more times than I can count, and I almost always get one of two things: clear blue sky or a wall of weather. This morning looked like the wall again, and for once, waiting paid off. If I could have these low, moody clouds every time I came to Yosemite, I would be happy for life.
